Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of this website - browsing our artists' work and submitting a booking request or waiver through it. They don't replace the waiver you sign before your appointment, which is the actual consent for the tattoo procedure itself. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
1. Booking requests aren't confirmed appointments
Submitting the booking form sends a request to your chosen artist - it doesn't reserve a time slot. You'll get an email once your artist reviews it. A request only becomes a confirmed appointment once you're notified it's been approved.
2. Deposits
This website doesn't collect payment. A deposit is required to secure a confirmed appointment and is arranged directly with your artist afterward. Current deposit, cancellation, and rescheduling policies are posted on our studio info page - please review them before booking, as they govern your appointment.
3. Age requirements and waivers
A signed waiver is required before any tattoo appointment, separate from a booking request. We tattoo clients under 18 only with a parent or legal guardian's consent, completed through our youth waiver; a minor can't complete this on their own. Valid ID is required for everyone at the appointment.
4. Managing your booking
After you submit a booking request, you'll receive a booking code by email. You can use it on our manage booking page to look up or cancel a pending or confirmed appointment. Keep this code private - anyone with it and the email address on the booking can act on it.
5. Photos and content you submit
Reference photos, placement photos, and notes you upload are for your artist's use in preparing for your appointment. We don't publish anything you submit through the booking form without asking you first. Separately, your artist may ask - in person, not through this site - about photographing your finished tattoo for their portfolio or our Artist Showcase; that's always a separate request you can decline.
6. Website content
The design, text, and artist photos shown on this site belong to Lightning Bug Tattoos or the respective artist unless stated otherwise. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking.
7. No warranty
Information on this site (aftercare steps, studio policies, estimated appointment durations) is provided as general guidance for planning your visit, not as medical advice. If you have a medical concern related to a tattoo, please contact your doctor or your artist directly.
8. Limitation of liability
This website is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site itself (as distinct from the tattoo service you separately consent to through your waiver). Nothing here limits any consumer protection you're entitled to under Canadian law that can't be waived by agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it. Any dispute arising from your use of this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
