Meet Ari Racette, Tattoo Artist and Owner of Lighting Bug Tattoos.
Ari began tattooing in 2019 and has had many opportunities to grow and learn in different spaces.
As a queer Métis person with disabilities, creating an inclusive and accessible space is especially important to Ari. Her experiences have given her a deep appreciation for kindness, community, and making room for people who don’t always feel like there’s a place for them. With that, in Lightning Bug Tattoos was created! where anyone is welcome to hangout, get tattooed, check out some art for sale, or just come in to say hi!
For Ari, tattooing is about connection, self-expression, storytelling, and helping people feel a little more at home in their own skin.
When Ari isn’t tattooing, she can usually be found at home or in nature with her partner, creating some kind of art, hanging out with her animals, or becoming deeply invested in some new quirky interest.
